About the Creative Founder
As the firestarter and Creative Founder of Scattered Glass, Laura Beth Konopinski has combined her dual passions of art and science across the breadth of her life. As an artist from a young age, Laura Beth's inherent curiosity to create has lead her to examine many facets of our earth.
While living on a family-owned dairy goat farm located in the grasslands of Missouri, Laura Beth’s fascination of natural life cycles was sparked. To explore her profound respect and deep connectedness with the natural world, she began collecting organic materials such as feathers, seeds and bones to include into her artworks.
With a BFA in 3 dimensional art studies, Laura Beth has worked with glass since 2003 and continues to develop her expertise in glass sculpting. Using her glass experience, she proudly created a Scattered Glass signature collection, the Remembrance Series.
Laura Beth completed the End of Life Doula certification program at the University of Vermont Larner College of Medicine in November 2020. By broadening her perspectives with this knowledge, she wishes to holistically support every client through their own end of life grieving process, with a focus on legacy projects. With her dedication to continuous learning, she strives to inform business decisions with education and genuine values so she stays true to her heart and is proud to share Scattered Glass with everyone.
